EMPOWERING

Changing BOYS MANtality MENtoring is an empowerment agency chartered to provide social and emotional support, mentoring and coaching services, and culture and climate support for Baltimore City Public Schools. We are a black owned company supporting urban underrepresented communities with the purpose of equipping youth with concepts and ideas associated with overcoming barriers to success, building meaningful relationships and personal/professional development. We have a proven approach that produces real change within young boys. The circumstances and daily environment that many of our nation’s youth experience is absolutely heartbreaking. Despite this reality, we cannot help but remain passionate and optimistic for we have found an answer that works for these young boys.

Every week, daily, our mentors show up at elementary, middle and high schools, and community centers to support adolescent and teen boys. We are a community of positive and professional men, with various life experiences, who listen, encourage, and empower them. Approximately 55% of the boys participating in our program have an absent father. Our community based mentoring approach gives boys a variety of positive male role models who show up consistently, tell the truth about their struggles as men, ask the boys what kind of man they want to be, praise them for their gifts, support them when they mess up, and encourage them to become the man they want to be.
